Aconex Field is a mobile application that revolutionizes how the project team conducts inspections. Implementing Aconex Field has replaced inefficient and error-prone paper-based and manual processes with digital technology to capture, distribute, and track inspection requests in a more efficient and environmentally friendly manner.
Traditionally, the contractor would submit a paper-based report to the Consultant. The consultant would then duplicate the report, bring it to the site for verification or rejection, and then return it to the contractor.
Aconex Field is reducing the use of paper, printer ink, and the generation of paper waste. By utilizing Aconex Field, contractors and consultants can create, receive, and respond to reports digitally on a single interconnected platform. In terms of sustainability, the carbon footprint of one A4 sheet of paper ranges from 4.29 to 4.79 g CO2-eq. Therefore, implementing Aconex Field eliminates the need for 2,000,000 pages over a 5-year project duration, resulting in a reduction of carbon emissions ranging from 8,580 to 9,580 kg CO2-eq. This approach also eliminates the purchase of 2,000,000 paper sheets approximate 40,000QAR., thereby reducing carbon emissions associated with the paper supply chain and cutting of reporting time by 60%.
