Implementing Traffic Diversions usually takes time especially when more areas are required to be diverted or adjusted at the same time. The main equipment usually used for this work are Boom Truck & Forklift. Some of the challenges are; limited capacity of transporting barriers, maneuvering space, and equipment set-up time which are considered as Non-Value-Added Activities.
Non-Value-Added Activities: Set-up time for lifting the barrier, equipment movement between barrier stacking location and required fixing location, loading capacity, and maneuvering space required.
Benefits:
- Using Clamp Equipment helped in time saving of TDP implementation as following:
- Comparing to Forklift, it saved around 43% of required duration.
- Comparing to Boom Truck, it saved around 85% of required duration.
