​Use of internal software portals for the control and management of authority reviews and approvals across all projects. Including the checking and monitoring of cross department project interfaces. This to avoid potential abortive works and clashes. Notable software portal used are QPro, QDRS & PCA:

• QPRO (Ver 3.0) The portal system is used for getting approvals from all stakeholders and the permits to work within the Right of Way. It is also used for review and approval of the application filed for RO permit by other stakeholders.  
• QDRS This portal system is  used for getting approval of the Design and design Variation from all stakeholders within the time frame fixed in the system and used in the filing of QPRO application on the system.   
• PCA This portal system helps to review and coordinate new projects in Ashghal across departments. This allows early clash detection to avoid potential abortive works between department projects.
• BIM it has been piloted in two of HPD's Projects (P07-C7-P2 Landmark Interchange and P060 Al Khor Expressway).  The feedback from these project will be used to help initiate BIM in future new projects.
• Enjaz Mobile app for monitoring Stakeholder approvals
• AI ChatGPT AI has been trail run to cross check Qatar Specifications against other standards using specific search questions.

Highway Projects Department projects:

All of Highway Projects Department projects made use of Ashghal’s internal software portals. The use of BIM will be developed in future.
